Show us your support to creativity and freedom of speech. #jesuischarlie
We believe creativity has amazing powers. In a drawing, a cartoon or a poster, share with us your thoughts and feelings about the freedom to create.
in the wake of the tragic events in Paris, we invited you to creatively express your sympathy to the victims of Charlie Hebdo and your resolve to stand for freedom of speech.
We have been overwhelmed by your reaction. 261 of you participated out of 39 countries, and you submitted more than 300 creative works. We reviewed all of them as a team and were deeply moved by the quality and depth of your ideas, and by your resolve to stand up against terror.
In the spirit of sharing some of the great work you collectively came up with, we have published some of the ones that moved us most. (The ranking of the entries listed above is defined by our website, but does not reflect any priority given to submissions)
We will send all of your contributions to Charlie Hebdo, and I am certain your message will encourage them in their battle for freedom of speech.
Thank you again for standing up, let’s continue creating a better world together, every day.

I chose to participate in this contest to express what I have felt after the Charlie Hebdo's events.
My illustration called "Tout ça, pour ça" (All of this, for that) expresses the fact that today, our world is over mediatised and the debate becomes often more important than the subject itself. We prefer controversy rather than opening a book to learn something, or rather than listening to what others have to say and trying to understand, even though we disagree.
This time, the debate killed irreplaceable artists, artists who defended our freedom and tried to make us react to the absurdity, but also artists who fought against racism and human foolishness.
When we take a step back, what do we see? Artists died, young people took the guns and died, policemen died, people who were gorcery shopping died...
This time, the debate killed the subject. "Tout ça pour ça!"

I have joined the "Je suis Charlie" competition because I think that creative persons are given the talent to speak their mind out and make a stand to something they believe in and eYeka is the right platform that will support our ideas.
I never thought my poster would be chosen as one of the best works and would be delivered to Charlie Hebdo's office itself. I hope my work inspires more people, especially young creatives around the work to express their thoughts.

When I had felt so bad about the tragic news, I found the notice from eYeka. It has no winning prize but I wanted to participate in the contest to show them how much we support.
I'm so honored that my poster can be delivered to them as well.
Let's keep it up with them. Je suis Charlie!
