Help people stay mentally active as they age
We are living longer and longer than ever before. Did you know that in the United States alone, the number of adults aged 65 and older will grow from 40 million in 2010 to 72 million by 2030? By then, more than one in five of the population will be 65 or older in the US and many other countries around the world.
However, unlike the prior generation, the new wave of seniors is not only living longer, but they are also healthier and more independent than older people from decades ago. They want to actively maintain their health throughout their senior years, rediscover their passions and hobbies, and finally “live purposefully” - use their gifts and talents to create more meaning for themselves and society. These people see their retirement as the beginning of a new journey during which they stay productive and active, mentally and physically. They believe finding a new purpose that combines continued income, personal meaning and service to their community is the key for them to stay young.
Our sponsor, a research and innovation company, wants to help senior people stay mentally engaged by providing new solutions which will mentally stimulate them during their regular daily travels.
Imagine a solution that provides a mentally stimulating experience to active seniors during their daily transportation routine(s) in 2030.
